About Us

Established in 1994 by Jim and Paula Zoller, Zoller Hardware Gifts and Gadgets Mercantile is a full service hardware and gift shop, located in scenic Cashiers, North Carolina. We offer a broad selection of tools and materials for plumbing, electrical, lawn & garden and paint.

We are the largest gift shop on the Plateau! Our carefully curated collection of gifts, souvenirs, home decor and apparel is second to none. You'll find something for every one and every occasion. 

Jim and Paula took the opportunity to retire at the beginning of 2016 and the store was sold to Glenn and Kim Ubertino. Glenn has worked for several fortune 100 companies over his 25-year retail career. He started at a young age, helping his father run several True Value hardware stores in Atlanta, GA. After his family decided to sell the business, Glenn went to work for The Home Depot. He held many different merchandising positions over a 17-year career. Glenn managed the hardware and lawn and garden departments during his time there. He worked with many world class companies including: John Deere, Toro, P&G, Clorox, Black and Decker, and many others. After leaving The Home Depot Glenn joined Office Depot at their World Headquarters in Boca Raton, FL. Glenn managed the B2B channel for the company for nearly 7 years. After deciding to go into business for himself, he purchased Zoller Hardware in 2016 and is enjoying life in Cashiers along with his family.

With over 7,000 sq. ft. of shopping area. Our building, with its exposed post and beam construction, green metal roof, brown pine siding, large front porch and built in a white pine forest, invites those passing to stop in and shop. Be sure to visit our deck area with patio furniture, umbrellas, and hammocks, featuring Weber LP Gas,  charcoal grills, and Big Green Egg products for grilling, smoking and slow cooking. Shopping here is an old fashioned experience wrapped in country warmth. We also carry housewares and have a large country gift department. Our gift department has unique items from stuffed, carved or resin bears to Amish-built rocking chairs and furniture.

Zoller Hardware is proud to announce the opening of our new paint and power equipment store. Located adjacent to our existing building, this is the first part of our planned expansion. In this new facility we now stock Pratt and Lambert paint as well as Sherwin Williams and Cabot. We now stock Stihl products alongside our existing Husqvarna equipment.

We have exciting new additions to our gift store with more coming in daily and we are continually adding new items to our hardware store. Come and check us out by the “Big Chair” in Cashiers N.C.
